Meet Irene & Vas — specialists in Greek dance, culture, and serious footwork.
​
Irene brings mastery in Island dances, with a special focus on the Dodecanese, Women’s dances of Roumlouki Imathia, Macedonia, and women’s improvisation in leading Greek dances. She holds Level 2 Dance Certification from the Dora Stratou Dance Theatre, has trained extensively through workshops in Greece, and is a proud member of CID and the Hellenic Lyceum of Sydney – Euphoro of Dance. That’s correct Her teaching blends precision, musicality, and the lived tradition of women leading with confidence and style.

Vas (Lead Director and Instructor) specialises in Epirus, Thessaly, the Peloponnese (Arkadia, Laconia & Messinia), Western Crete, the Ionian Islands, Thrace (Northern & Eastern), and the Asia Minor Coast & Cappadocia. With over 35 years of traditional dance research, a Level 1 Certification from the Dora Stratou Dance Theatre, and extensive training through workshops in Greece, Vas is known for his deep focus on leader variations and improvisation. He is a CID member and brings history to life through movement, rhythm, and an impressive collection of authentic Greek folk costumes.
